The opening times are significantly longer in summer than in winter. It’s completely closed in February. Otherwise, the aquarium is open every day of the week, there are no days off or anything like that.

In July and August, the Crikvenica Aquarium in Croatia is open the longest, from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. In winter the opening times are much shorter, in January for example only from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. In spring and autumn the opening times are between winter and summer.

Adults pay 8 euros entry, children over 3 years pay 5 euros. Smaller children are free. Although there are discounts for, for example, pensioners and students (6 euros each), we think that the entry prices for the small Crikvenica Aquarium are a bit too high.

Address: Vinodolska 8, 51260 Crikvenica. The aquarium is right in the city center and can be seen from afar with a large sign. There are several large paid parking spaces in the center, also near the aquarium. These are not too expensive.

It’s a small aquarium. There are a lot of stairs in the aquarium, so it is not suitable for people with walking difficulties. There is also no seating. The building and furnishings seem a bit old.

Another aquarium in Croatia is the Pula Aquarium (significantly larger). The Piran Aquarium in Slovenia is also great.
