Getting there:
Access to the island of Ciovo is mainly via two bridges near the historic town of Trogir, which connect the island to the mainland.
The nearest major airport is Split Airport, which is well connected to a variety of international destinations. From Split you can reach Trogir by bus, taxi or rental car and then drive across the bridge to the island of Ciovo. Since 2018, there has been a second, much longer bridge on the island, which simplifies travel from the direction of Split and limits through traffic through the old town of Trogir.

There are many accommodation options on the island of Ciovo, including hotels, guesthouses, apartments and some villas. Trogir, just a few kilometers away, also offers further accommodation options. We recommend that you book your accommodation in advance to ensure availability and secure the best prices, especially during high season.
Transport on Ciovo:
The island of Ciovo itself is relatively small and can be explored on foot or by bike, but a car gives you more flexibility to explore the surrounding area. Car rentals are available in Trogir and Split, allowing you to explore further afield and hidden gems along the Dalmatian coast. There are regular buses on the island. Roads that are easy to drive on connect the villages and Ciovo with Trogir and the mainland. The bridges to Ciovo don’t cost any tolls or anything like that.
