Dubrovnik cable car fares (cable car)

In April 2024, the following prices apply for a cable car ride:

Adults return: 27 euros, adults one way: 15 euros

Children 4-12 years: 7 euros return, 4 euros one way to Mount Srd

Older children pay the adult price, younger children under 4 are free. We think the prices for such a short cable car ride, length 800 meters or journey time 3.5 minutes, are, like many prices in Dubrovnik, outrageous. If you have a car, you can also drive up the mountain (parking is free at the top) or you can walk up Mount Srd. Either way, the view from above of Dubrovnik and the Adriatic is magnificent. Capacity of a cabin: 32 people

Dubrovnik cable car opening times

The first cable car leaves at 9 a.m., the last, depending on the month, between 5 p.m. in the low season and midnight in the high season. Be careful: the Dubrovnik cable car does not run in winter (November to February).

History Dubrovnik Cable Car

The Dubrovnik Cable Car was first opened to the public in 1969 and quickly became a popular attraction for tourists visiting the city. In 1991, however, the cable car was severely damaged during the Croatian War of Independence and was not in operation for many years.

After a long period of restoration and reconstruction, the cable car was finally reopened in 2010. It now has modern technology and state-of-the-art facilities to provide a comfortable and safe ride for all passengers.
